Family and friends of a missing 41-year-old Brandon man are hoping for any bit of information that may shed some light onto what happened the day he disappeared.

Friend Peter Gwyer says Jordan Ross' Jeep was found June 17th near the campground he managed, Grand Valley Park Campground, just past the bridge at the Trans-Canada Highway. He says the vehicle, with Ross' tools and lawnmower still inside, had likely been sitting there from just after 8:00 am last Friday morning to when it was found at around 2:00 pm.

Gwyer says they're hoping that someone, possibly a motorist or trucker driving along Highway 1, may have seen something that would give a clue as to what may have happened to Jordan. "That's what we're hoping. If anyone saw something, please, please contact Blue Hills RCMP," says Gwyer. "The number is 204-726-7519."

Gwyer says the search yesterday and today will involve volunteers and members of the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team. They'll comb the bush and the water again along the Assiniboine River, where the Mounties had also searched extensively tbis week.

RCMP spokesperson Paul Manaigre says "We've covered a great deal of territory in regards to a land search so now we will focus more on the water. A lot of the water has been covered but as the river level begins to drop and slow down, the boats will once again head out and conduct further patrols."

Manaigre says, "Family and volunteers continue to search, but at this time we have no leads to suggest where he could be. Any tips that do come in will be actively investigated."

Gwyer says if you'd like to volunteer, whether it's to search or to help with food, you're encouraged to head to Grand Valley Campground just west of Brandon and register.
