When it comes to Manitoba’s public health guidelines, it appears a majority of Brandonites have been following the rules.
City emergency management director Brian Kayes said this week, that since May 5th, park ambassadors have noted 41 instances of people not physically distancing during 817 visits to Brandon parks.
“This is about a half-a-percent of visits where people needed a little education,” said Kayes. “Two locations that have recently encountered such issues are people on the Sportsplex track and at Westridge Community Centre, and also in all of these tours, the ambassadors have not encountered any large group with more than 50 people.”
There have also been no recent reports of any individuals in Brandon being ticketed for violating COVID-19 public health guidelines.
