The Brandon Wheat Kings and the Brandon Keystone Centre have outlined their COVID-19 health measures in effect for the upcoming season.
In a letter to fans, the team writes “First and foremost, we are grateful to have the ability to reconnect with you and have you in seats this fall. It has been a lengthy 18 months and we cannot wait to have your passion inside Westoba Place once again.
A vaccination policy and several new safety measures are in place for Wheat King games and all other events taking place on the Keystone Centre grounds. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the facility early, as there will be new steps added for entry that have not been present in the past.
Westoba Place will only be accessible via Entrance A (the ramp on the east side of the building), and Entrance E (the shared Canad Inns & Keystone Centre doors on the west side of the building). The entrance at the south end of the facility will not be open this season.
“We are incredibly excited to have Brandon Wheat Kings fans, and Brandon Wheat Kings hockey back in Westoba Place,” says Jared McKenzie, Keystone Centre Director of Marketing. “We understand that the public health protocols in place will present a new fan experience, but with your attention to the rules in place – wearing a mask, showing proof of vaccination and ID for entry – we believe this Brandon Wheat Kings season will be another great year of WHL hockey at Westoba Place.”
