Anyone else’s day just start with a major brain fart? Mine did and I’m slightly embarrassed by it, but it’s also really funny.
Normally at the end of a long workday, I don’t change into my pj’s or something more comfortable when I get home. I’m in my outfit until I decide it’s time for bed. Weird, I know, but it’s what’s comfortable for me. Normally though, I empty my pockets as soon as I get home. Everything ends up on one of my two nightstands ready to be grabbed when I leave the next day. Today that wasn’t the case. I was ready to go and my wallet was nowhere to be found. I searched for roughly ten minutes before I had to leave for work. Since it wasn’t anywhere at home, maybe I left it at the station.
Nope. Not in the studio or my office. Ok, now this is concerning. I was about ready to give up and call and cancel my credit card. Luckily it didn’t come to that. I was talking to Ally Mitchell from Q Country and she asked if I’d checked my car since it could have fallen out. I laughed and said no, because it couldn’t be there. Why? Well, that’s because it was in my front left pocket. I pulled out my wallet in a moment that shocked us both. She asked if I staged that, but I kid you not, it was unplanned. My wallet had been in my pocket the entire time and I just never felt it there. Not even once. And no, I didn’t think to check my pockets earlier. I don’t know why, I just didn’t.
This was how my day started, and I hope yours was better than mine.
