The long weekend is almost here once again, and if I know you, and I do, you’ll probably be cracking open A cold one…or two. I also know you love supporting the breweries we have in the great white north. Heck, we’re gonna see A new one open here in Brandon soon. I also know that you love recycling and going to the bathroom. Well now there’s A brewery that uses all of your loves to make beer…from flushed toilet water
Village Brewery in Calgary has teamed up with the University of Calgary to make a beer from flushed toilet water. Only A small batch and it’ll taste crisp, dry, and slightly fruity. Taste sounds great, but there’s that mental hurdle of flushed toilet water. They say it’s incredibly safe to use in the beer and to drink the final product. As gross as it might seem, it just kinda reminds me that we’re getting closer and closer to the future that futurama promised us where everything is recycled and they don’t have garbage anymore, so everything you drink and eat has already been drunk and eaten before. It might sound gross but with the way things are going right now, this seems par for the course
